This replaces the earlier Flood Warning * WHERE...Portions of southwest Minnesota, including the following counties, Nobles and Rock and southeast South Dakota, including the following county, Minnehaha. * WHEN...Until 1245 PM CDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations continues. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 946 AM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding continues from earlier heavy rain. Between 3 and 10 inches of rain had fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Sioux Falls, Worthington, Luverne, Brandon, Hartford, Crooks, Adrian, Garretson, Wall Lake, Baltic, Valley Springs, Colton, Hills, Humboldt, Brewster, Ellsworth, Leota, Round Lake, Rushmore and Wilmont. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.

Heat Advisory issued June 24 at 3:10AM CDT until June 24 at 8:00PM CDT by NWS Sioux Falls SD * WHAT...Heat index values up to 110 expected. * WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska, and central, east central, south central, and southeast South Dakota. * WHEN...From 1 PM this afternoon to 8 PM CDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
