Coastal Flood Advisory issued September 21 at 3:59PM EDT until September 22 at 4:00PM EDT by NWS Upton NY * WHAT...Up to one half foot of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline. * WHERE...New York (Manhattan) County. * WHEN...From 10 AM to 4 PM EDT Sunday. * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Minor flooding in the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding. Brief minor flooding is expected tonight. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Another round of localized minor flooding will be possible Monday. If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
