Fire Weather Watch issued September 28 at 3:16AM CDT until September 29 at 10:00PM CDT by NWS Bismarck ND ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR MUCH OF CENTRAL AND PARTS OF SOUTHWESTERN NORTH DAKOTA FROM LATE SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING... .Warm temperatures in the upper 80s to upper 90s combined with very dry conditions will drop afternoon relative humidity values in the mid teens to mid 20s on Sunday. A strong pressure gradient at the surface will bring breezy to windy southeast winds through the day and evening on Sunday, with gusts up to 45 mph. The combination of these dry conditions and gusty winds could create critical fire weather conditions across central and parts of southwestern North Dakota late Sunday morning through Sunday evening. The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Sunday morning through Sunday evening. * WINDS...South 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 12 percent. * AFFECTED AREA...Much of central and parts of southwestern North Dakota. * IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.
