Coastal Flood Advisory issued November 15 at 2:39PM EST until November 16 at 11:00AM EST by NWS Newport/Morehead City NC * WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level in low- lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. * WHERE...Areas along Bogue Banks beaches, Bogue Sound, the Newport and White Oak Rivers, areas in North Topsail Beach, the lower New River, and adjacent tidal creeks. * WHEN...Until 11 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Up to 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level is possible in some areas near shorelines and tidal waterways resulting in an elevated threat of property damage. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes adjacent to the waterfront will experience shallow flooding. If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
