Fire Weather Watch issued November 13 at 3:42PM HST until November 15 at 6:00PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI ...FIRE WEATHER WATCH FOR LEEWARD AREAS OF ALL ISLANDS ON FRIDAY... .The combination of dry fuels, low relative humidity and strong trade winds could bring critical fire weather conditions for leeward sections of the state during the day Friday. The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Friday morning through Friday afternoon. * AFFECTED AREA...Leeward portions of all Hawaiian Islands. * TIMING...From Friday morning through Friday afternoon. * WINDS...Northeast to east 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 40 to 50 percent. * IMPACTS...A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels can contribute to extreme fire behavior. Should a Red Flag warning be issued, outdoor burning is not recommended. A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.

High Surf Advisory issued November 13 at 3:33PM HST until November 14 at 6:00PM HST by NWS Honolulu HI ...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR NORTH AND WEST FACING SHORES OF NIIHAU KAUAI OAHU MOLOKAI AND NORTH FACING SHORES OF MAUI UNTIL 6 PM HST THURSDAY... .Exposed north and west facing shores will see a large northwest (320 to 330 degrees) peak today near warning thresholds, then slowly decline through Thursday, falling below advisory thresholds by Thursday night. * WHAT...Along exposed north facing shores, surf 16 to 24 feet tonight, decreasing to 12 to 18 feet Thursday. Along exposed west facing shores, surf 12 to 18 feet tonight, decreasing to 10 to 14 feet Thursday. * WHERE...North and west facing shores of Niihau, Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, and north facing shores of Maui. * WHEN...Until 6 PM HST Thursday. * IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents will make swimming dangerous. Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don't go out.
