Flood Watch issued September 27 at 2:52AM CDT until September 28 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson, De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson and Wilson. * WHEN...Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A flood watch has been issued for Middle Tennessee due to anticipated rainfall from Tropical Cyclone Helene. Flood Advisory issued September 27 at 8:34AM CDT until September 27 at 12:30PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Davidson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 1230 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 833 AM CDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain in the advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Murfreesboro, Franklin, Gallatin, Lebanon, Woodbury, Nashville, Madison, Hendersonville, Smyrna, Brentwood, La Vergne, Mount Juliet, Goodlettsville, Nolensville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Belle Meade, Kingston Springs, Lakewood and Pegram. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
