Flood Watch issued September 27 at 1:45PM CDT until September 28 at 7:00AM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Flooding caused by heavy rainfall from former Hurricane Helene continues to be possible. * WHERE...All of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, Davidson, De Kalb, Dickson, Fentress, Giles, Grundy, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Lawrence, Lewis, Macon, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery, Overton, Perry, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Rutherford, Smith, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, Wayne, White, Williamson and Wilson. * WHEN...Through Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible, with storm total rainfall from Thursday through Saturday morning reaching 2 to 6 inches. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Flood Advisory issued September 27 at 12:05PM CDT until September 27 at 2:30PM CDT by NWS Nashville TN * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Bedford, Cannon, Cheatham, Davidson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 230 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1205 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Murfreesboro, Franklin, Gallatin, Lebanon, Woodbury, Nashville, Madison, Hendersonville, Smyrna, Brentwood, La Vergne, Mount Juliet, Goodlettsville, Nolensville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Belle Meade, Kingston Springs, Lakewood and Pegram. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Tree limbs and power lines could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
