Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds on some of the taller bridges may be even stronger. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

High Surf Advisory issued September 27 at 11:19AM EDT until September 27 at 8:00PM EDT by NWS Charleston SC * WHAT...For the High Surf Advisory, large breaking waves of 4 to to 6 feet in the surf zone. For the High Rip Current Risk, dangerous rip currents. * WHERE...South Carolina Beaches. * WHEN...Until 8 PM EDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to dangerous surf conditions. Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

Tropical Cyclone Statement issued September 27 at 2:03PM EDT by NWS Charleston SC HLSCHS This product covers southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia **ALL TROPICAL STORM WARNINGS HAVE BEEN CANCELLED** NEW INFORMATION --------------- * CHANGES TO WATCHES AND WARNINGS: - The Tropical Storm Warning has been cancelled for Allendale, Beaufort, Charleston, Coastal Colleton, Coastal Jasper, Dorchester, Hampton, Inland Berkeley, Inland Colleton, Inland Jasper, and Tidal Berkeley * CURRENT WATCHES AND WARNINGS: - None * STORM INFORMATION: - About 370 miles northwest of Charleston SC or about 370 miles north-northwest of Savannah GA - 36.6N 84.6W - Storm Intensity 35 mph - Movement North-northwest or 330 degrees at 28 mph SITUATION OVERVIEW ------------------ now that Helene has moved far enough away from the area and has been downgraded to Tropical Depression, all Tropical Storm Headlines have been cancelled for our area. However, winds will still remain strong and gusty, with Wind Advisories and Small Craft Advisories in effect. High Surf Advisories and a High Risk of Rip Currents remains in effect.
